Hello to all,
I just found Tribe a couple of days ago, and joined a tribe for belly dancing. I was plinking around the lists of tribes and I found you guys! What are the chances I would find other folks that spin AND belly dance!?!? I guess I'm not so weird after all! ;-P
My name is Kathy and I just started dancing last week and already love it! I have been spinning (wheel and spindle) for about two years, though I don't do it enough. I have three boys, a hubby and lots of critters, including llamas and sheep to spin. So glad to have found you!

You have your own sheep & ilamas? That is my dream! Actually I want an alpaca they are so cute! Someday I'll have a mini ranch and my chickens will run around the yard and all the animals and I'll have a giant garden! AND a dye garden too!!

HEy I was just looking at our membership...we are almost up to 100!!! What are the odds we can gather 8 more people and break into 3 figures???
this is my new mission...who's down to join me? -

I just joined because I saw the tribe on Kathy's tribes list. She had just joined the Montana Belly Dance tribe which I belong to. I knit and I have always wanted to learn to spin and try weaving.

We purchased 20 acres, fifty miles away in Craig, a fairly out of the way area. Lots of trees, rocky outcroppings and a seasonal creek that splits in two in the meadow. The llamas will love it! We will most likely build a dome house up on the hill. It's so windy here in MT we need to stay up on the hill to use the power of wind turbines. There is no power, phone or cable out there. I hope for a garden too. I have a black thumb, but with lots of prayer and llama manure we should have a good crop! LOL! I think I did buy a book on natural dyes to grow in your garden when Interweave Press had their one a year damaged book sale. I need to save up for next years sale!
I have a friend in the guild that has Alpacas, they are so small and cute. But you must get two so they don't get upset. They are herd animals and need friends. We wanted llamas so we could pack with them too. I'm looking forward to chickens too, I hate spending all my $ on eggs...I have three boys and eggs go fast around here. Ha! Ha!
