I just found out about this Plucky fluff website from Kris (aka Ziza). We've been getting together weekly and spinning and enjoying the spring time in my backyard.

I had no idea that people were doing such fun things with their spinning! I have tried to put beads onto my yarn before, with minimal success but these yarns are incredible. I immediate bought the her book Intertwined, and have been drooling (while sick all day yesterday) over the yarns. And since I felt better today, I immediately died some really dull greyish/brown alpaca that someone gave me a dark blackish plum. Next I'm going to dig up all the mohair & various fibers that people have given me over the years and just keep dyeing them and then I'll start making batts on the drum carder! Not to mention all the beads I've been stashing for years and years and haven't know what to do with! I'm so excited I can hardly believe it!

So I also ordered her other book today. Yippeee!!! Thanks Kris! here's the website...

I just bought Intertwined, totally inspirational! I can't wait to have a go, so far just been looking wistfully at the gorgoeous illustrations whenever I get a few minutes to spare. When will I have time to sleep between work, dancing, spinning?!

I wish sleep was really over rated as I've heard some people say! but yeah, I still need it!

I can't spin, but as you know I like to crochet and I want to start knitting again and hopefully be better at it with practice.
Can I invite myself over to spin and enjoy springtime with you guys in your backyard? :)

Or, I'm just going to have to start a weekly group so that I can be motivated to do and complete all my yarn-related projects!

We've been meeting weekly so YES!! you have to come and join us! you don NOT have to spin! You can even just entertain the spinners by dancing and bring us tea if you want...

I can make a mean pot of tea! I'm a tea addict. Honey? Lemon? I can do it!
I can dance, too... or at least I try!

            Tell me when, yo!

We're probably going to take some time off until after Tribal Caravan! Unless someone twists my arm and forces me to relax!

I've been looking around on the internet and I've found some more interesting spinning sites that are inspiring. Really I have been spinning for years and I thought I knew the craft really well, but now there are so many new creative directions that people are moving into and it's really sparking my interest!

I also wanted to recommend a book that I've had for a long time and I'm finally reading which is I think a good basis for spinning "Spinning Designer Yarns" by Diane Varney.

So here are the links to some of these sites

I'm posting a picture of the vegan yarn from a handmade gift.com cause it's so pretty and our vegan members will especially like it...it's a combo of linen, inego (whatever that corn fiber is), & cotton...very very nice!
