Woo-HOOOO!!!! I've done it!!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys! Sorry I've been gone so long, but I've once again been taking more than the recommended number of classes.

And it's now paid off! As of 9:30pm EST, I am now done with my MLIS and am officially a librarian!!!!

    welcome to the club! now you can sign your name with MLIS at the end. and you can proudly answer YES to the puzzled query "What, you need a DEGREE for that?"

      :-D Thanks, guys.

      It hasn't really hit me yet. I'll be leaving Michigan in just a few weeks, and then moving to the UK in October. Sadly, I won't be able to work (due to visa stuff) until after May, but I hope to at least get some quality volunteering in.

      First order of business-- help them set up a Friends of the Library organization.

          Sadly, the visa process is taking much longer than anticipated. At this point it looks like I won't be able to move to Wales until mid-December.

          In the meantime though, I'm applying to be a substitute librarian for the Los Angeles Public Library system. They figure it'll take a month to process my application, but that should still leave me with at least another month to earn a little cash. Wish me luck!
