I'm going back to school for Nursing

topic posted Thu, August 16, 2007 - 8:46 AM by  Amina
Hi everyone,

After three years working in Clinical Research, I have decided to go back to school to pursue my nursing degree. Although my original intention was to pursue medical school, I feel like nursing would be a better fit for me. I am applying to schools in the DC area. I can't wait to get started.

Yaaayy! Amina, how exciting!!!!!! What school are you going to? The world of nursing is really rewarding and there is soooo much you can do with it. Keep us posted during the program. Feel free to use this tribe to vent, ask for advice, etc. Trust me, it's gonna be a roller coaster ride! :)

Great decision. Nursing is a limitless profession, there are so many interesting ways to procede and add to your knowledge base. And you will never be out of work. I completed all my nursing courses previous to clinic and decided to continue in Respiratory Therapy because I love it and I did not want to maintain dual licensure at this point in my life, nor did I want to give up Respiratory Therapy. My daughters are both RNs and I believe the World is blessed with these compassionate and lovely ( belly dancing) caretakers.
