Hi everyone,
After three years working in Clinical Research, I have decided to go back to school to pursue my nursing degree. Although my original intention was to pursue medical school, I feel like nursing would be a better fit for me. I am applying to schools in the DC area. I can't wait to get started.

Re: I'm going back to school for Nursing
Fri, August 17, 2007 - 11:18 AMTHanks everyone. I am thinking to start next fall 2008. I wish I could start this year but its too late to apply. I will use this year to save money and do a lot of performing before I have to buckle down and study for my nursing classes. Any suggestions for good second degree programs? -

Sat, August 18, 2007 - 4:34 AMAre you going for accelerated program?
Also, you can check out www.allnurses.com. It's a good website with a message board to talk to all sorts of people in nursing, from brand new nursing students to retirees.

Re: I'm going back to school for Nursing
Wed, November 21, 2007 - 2:56 PMGreat decision. Nursing is a limitless profession, there are so many interesting ways to procede and add to your knowledge base. And you will never be out of work. I completed all my nursing courses previous to clinic and decided to continue in Respiratory Therapy because I love it and I did not want to maintain dual licensure at this point in my life, nor did I want to give up Respiratory Therapy. My daughters are both RNs and I believe the World is blessed with these compassionate and lovely ( belly dancing) caretakers.
