This Saturday, Healing Through Dance at Plaza de Anaya.
All proceeds go to the Smith Family..... Cari of Anaya Tribal has recently found out that her husband, Ron, has Leukemia. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy and because of the type he has (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) requires a bone marrow transplant. He will be having his transplant at MD Anderson in Houston, TX and we are hoping to find out more details soon. However, it's looking like they may have found a match for him. Cari is such a strong part of our dance community we want to bring everyone together and show her how much we love her and her family.
We are hosting a benefit for her family at our studio on September 5th at 6pm. It will be an open dance $5.00 admission, raffles, and donation jars everywhere. People who want to donate but can't come...go to the website and buy tickets anyway! Tickets will not be mailed. You name will be on the list at the door. It will be karaoke style. Everyone is invited to sign up and dance or just come hang out and show their support.
The show is karaoke style... bring your music, sign in and dancers go in order of sign in.... it's a community affair... all dance types welcome! Potluck will be happening too if you want to bring something, though not necessary. Just bring money, checks, and help show the love!
