Hi! I'm part of Pink Velvet Burlesque in Halifax. We tend to do shows every few months, but nothing on a regular schedule. I'm not sure if there are any other troupes up and running right now, but there have been before. I like to think our troupe is friendly, but as far as I know we're not accepting any new members. Miss C of our troupe has a shop called Pretty Things Boutique. It was formerly located in Junk and Foibles, but they closed, so I think she's in the process of moving. She's also on Facebook and might have a website too. She sells lots of cool pinup/burlesque/vintage-style stuff and makes fabulous pasties! (Pretty Titty Pasties is her brand.) I don't know of any classes, but I think Miss C is planning on offering some workshops in the future.
