This group looks pretty quiet. Maybe you've moved elsewhere to the Internet, but I just moved to Belmont Shore from Chicago. I am venturing out to the big city tonight...Los Angelese to see digital instrumentalists Crystal Castles perform at THE ROXY. If anyone wants to meet up in L.A. beforehand or would like to go or both, hit me up with a private message. I have friends in burbank and ventura beach but would like to know some people in the neighborhood here too. Thank you.

About me: i am 22 years old, i've lived in this apartment for about 2 1/2 years. I am an art student at cal state long beach so there is usually some sort of project in the works around the apartment. :) I am also a professional model and am always in and out for auditions and gigs. I am extrememly laid back, I go to burning man every year. I am very into music and art. I am 420 friendly. I like to party but not every night. I also work part time as a weightress in belmont shores. I have an indoor kitten who is 4 months old. she is very friendlly, and loves to play. she is also very clean and stink free :)
Your room has a HUGE wall to wall closet with sliding mirror doors. Our neighbors are very cool, quiet people. The neighborhood is very safe, a lot of families and college kids. Parking is never a problem, there is tons of street parking. There is an albertsons, nail salon, two breakfast diners, a sushi restaurant, and a starbucks all within walking distance.

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in please email me or add me on myspace ASAP. I need to find someone before christmas.

Rent is 650 a month plus the cost of utilities which will i will split with you 50/50

I'm posting this because Jeremy is a friend of my Snoremonster and we're all pretty much pissed off. Pissed off at the DA, the criminal, and pissed off at the press for ignoring this crap for so long. At least we have this much now.

There is MUCH more to all this. Oddly enough they ignore that the prick yelled "I hate niggers" as he went after the 3 black guys, nor do they mention that the prick is a stunt man for CSI: Miami. (Which is probably the real reason the DA dropped this. Can't piss off Hollywood, they might not block traffic while filming shitty movies and TV shows anymore! Oh no!)

Outrage in the Shore
DA won't press charges in Second Street stabbing

By Tracy Manzer and David Rogers, Staff writers
Long Beach Press Telegram

LONG BEACH -- A local man who was stabbed repeatedly was stunned to learn last weekend that the district attorney's office will not file a case and that the man who allegedly attacked him is now free.

Jeremy, who has asked to be identified only by his first name, was slashed in the face after he says he overheard one man threaten two strangers and he came to their aid.

About 40 of Jeremy's family members, friends and supporters came to a vigil at the southeast corner of Second Street and Bay Shore Avenue in Belmont Shore Monday night to support him. They listened to his mother, Judy, speak about the pain he's gone through since the incident on March 30.

The stabbings took place after Jeremy walked out of a popular Belmont Shore bar to have a cigarette. He said he noticed Louis Rittenhouse, a Sun Valley man, walking down the sidewalk and glaring at two black men standing in front of the same bar.

Jeremy said Rittenhouse threatened the men in Spanish, so Jeremy put his hands between the alleged attacker and the two men to keep a fight from erupting. He didn't think much of it, he said, until Rittenhouse went to his truck and began revving the engine, then screeched around the block and stopped near the bar.

A crowd had gathered on the street, Jeremy said, and as several people started to cross Second Street, Rittenhouse jumped out of his truck and allegedly attacked Jeremy and two other men, stabbing all three and nearly killing one, who suffered a collapsed lung.

Rittenhouse then sped off in his truck, but he was stopped by police and arrested within minutes of the stabbings. Bloody clothes and two weapons were found in his truck, and he was booked on a charge of attempted murder, according to the police report. He was released on $500,000 bail later that same day.

Despite the arrest, however, Jeremy and the two other victims received letters Saturday from Deputy District Attorney Michael Tranbarger saying there will be no charges filed against Rittenhouse.

There were a number of reasons behind the decision, Tranbarger said Monday in a telephone interview.

“The bottom line on this case is ... we couldn't prove beyond a reasonable doubt who did what to whom,” Tranbarger explained.

“Several witnesses, almost all of the witnesses, had been drinking that night, which affected their ability to perceive and (recall) what occurred,” he said. “Because we couldn't determine who exactly was responsible, it became almost impossible to sort out the self-defense issues that were raised in our investigation.”

More than a dozen witnesses were interviewed, many of them twice, by the DA's office, he said. Most people could recall the altercation, but could not remember how it started, Tranbarger added.

Rittenhouse said he was under attack that night and merely defended himself, Tranbarger said.

Jeremy's mother, Judy, who also didn't want her last name used, said Rittenhouse's behavior that night was not that of a victim. At no time, she said, did Rittenhouse call the police or have either of the two people riding in his truck call 911 for help.

She said the prosecutor told her that part of the problem is that the other two victims have criminal pasts, and that could have affected the outcome of the case.

“He keeps saying You know the other two boys have a long record,'” Judy said Monday. “Do I care? No!”

“They shouldn't be punished based on their past; they're the victims,” she said. “Because of them my son's alive.”

She said she asked if the case could be prosecuted with only Jeremy named as a victim, and was told that was not possible.

“If a judge decides it's OK to stab three people, then let that be it,” Judy said Monday night. “But let a judge decide it.”

Jeremy's sister, Yvette, said she came to Jeremy's house every morning at 4 a.m. for a month after his stabbing, because she and Jeremy's girlfriend did not want him to be left alone. The family is also fearful for their safety, and so are their friends, Yvette said.

Yvette, who lives in Lakewood, said she heard from concerned friends who learned about an incident Friday in which three women were stabbed, one fatally, allegedly by a neighbor. She said her friends hadn't heard the details: “They thought, Oh my God, are you OK?'”

And Judy said that while her son “never locked his door in his life,” Jeremy felt compelled to get two metal doors installed in his home after the attack, which made him feel like he was in prison.

Tranbarger said Monday the case is not closed; it will remain open for the next three years. At any point during that time, he said, a charge can be filed.

“If other witnesses come forward, if someone came forward with a security tape that gave us definitive proof, we could file at any time within those three years,” he said.

In the meantime, Judy has requested a meeting with several members of Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley's office and says she is prepared to take her son's case to the state attorney general's office if necessary.

“If you're only going to go for the winning cases, you're not going for justice,” Judy said before the vigil. “Steve Cooley's office says to fight for justice fearlessly, but in my son's case there is no justice.”

I'm looking for some sort of office space on or just around 2nd. Anywhere from the Shore down to Naples (No further than PCH).

Basically a small office around 200 sq. ft. would work. Ideally from $500 to $700(at the most) a month.
