Keeping in touch outside of and after tribe.net

This is something of an open letter to my juggler and political friends about how to keep in touch after tribe stops working. Or maybe just instead of tribe.

In my opinion tribe.net is unfortunately not long for this world.
Too bad when one considers how well it works for the groups and the collection of people who have contributed. Neither MySpace nor FaceBook have anything like the ease of posting and thread use that tribe has for its tribe groups.

Recently most of the tribes that I participate in, including the ones that I manage, have had almost no traffic. We also hear of the company just not keeping staff.

SO I have made plans to move on.

My original account was a MySpace account that my son helped me set up a long time ago. We set up a group for Berkeley Juggling that has a few users in it. You can find me at www.myspace.com/donmacleay and then follow the links to my groups.
The other way to contact the Berkeley Juggling Club and stay in touch is to join our group and use our list server. www.berkeleyjuggling.org/

I also have an account on FaceBook that is just a copy of the same damn thing I had posted on tribe and MySpace. This seems to be better for political groups. If you are on FaceBook and have good political discussion groups to suggest, please drop me a friend notice. www.facebook.com/profile.php .
To keep in touch with the Oakland Greens best is to visit our site and join our list server.
www.cagreens.org/oakland

Another way to keep in touch is to link to me as a friend here on tribe.net. I will not be checking it very often, but a tribe message will come to my email. There is no reason to take down our profiles, and who knows, we may all be wrong and tribe will pull through.

Yours.

Don.
