This is something of an open letter to my juggler and political friends about how to keep in touch after tribe stops working. Or maybe just instead of tribe.

In my opinion tribe.net is unfortunately not long for this world.
Too bad when one considers how well it works for the groups and the collection of people who have contributed. Neither MySpace nor FaceBook have anything like the ease of posting and thread use that tribe has for its tribe groups.

Recently most of the tribes that I participate in, including the ones that I manage, have had almost no traffic. We also hear of the company just not keeping staff.

SO I have made plans to move on.

My original account was a MySpace account that my son helped me set up a long time ago. We set up a group for Berkeley Juggling that has a few users in it. You can find me at http://www.myspace.com/donmacleay and then follow the links to my groups.
The other way to contact the Berkeley Juggling Club and stay in touch is to join our group and use our list server. http://www.berkeleyjuggling.org/

I also have an account on FaceBook that is just a copy of the same damn thing I had posted on tribe and MySpace. This seems to be better for political groups. If you are on FaceBook and have good political discussion groups to suggest, please drop me a friend notice. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=732912617&ref=name .
To keep in touch with the Oakland Greens best is to visit our site and join our list server.
http://www.cagreens.org/oakland

Another way to keep in touch is to link to me as a friend here on tribe.net. I will not be checking it very often, but a tribe message will come to my email. There is no reason to take down our profiles, and who knows, we may all be wrong and tribe will pull through.

Yours.

Don.

Anyone on the list willing to Juggle for Peace in front of the Marine Recruiting Station that has recently opened in Berkeley?

CodePINK: Women for Peace is asking you to come to the Recruiting Station at 64 Shattuck Square (just south of University Ave on Shattuck where it runs north) and juggle in front for an hour or two, all day long or a few minutes!

We have launched our "How Berkeley Can U BE" campaign to show the Marines - and our nation - the kinds of things we want and treasure about Berkeley, which is NOT the Marines recruiting our youth and sending them to war.

People are signing up to do a vast variety of things, from vigiling to breastfeeding, setting up an "Open Sidewalk Studios" to honoring those veterans who are refusing to fight.

We were hoping several of you would be willing to come and juggle, teach juggling, practice juggling some time of your choice between 7:30a.m. and 5:00p.m. any week day that works for you during the month of November.

We were especially hoping you might be able to do it this Thursday, Nov 8th from 11:30a-1:30pm. There is a woman who teaches circus arts there on Thursdays but she won't be doing it this Thursday so we need a fill in for her!

PLEASE call Zanne at 510-524-2776 or email if anyone is interested in juggling for peace this month!

Together we WILL end war NOW!
