Do you know how fast tickets sell out? If I find myself back on the east coast, I'd be down, but I don't think I can really plan that far ahead right now.

the tickets usually sell out fairly fast....spring WF sold out in a week. honestly, if you think there's a chance you can go, buy a ticket in the first 48 hours, and if you need to, you can definitely sell it later, as long as you give yourself at least 2 weeks to do so. There have been many more people who want to go than there are tickets available, for the past few wildfires.

I'm trying to decide if I should buy 4 or 5 extra for potential frosh monkeys... I figure I can totally sell them if we don't use them, but its like a $400 decision, even if only temporarily, it would mean I'd have no money at all until people paid me back. ... But if I did that there would absolutely be one for Matt.

honestly, I'd advise against it. The more people buy way more tickets than they need, the more insane ticket sales end up. If you think you can go, or your friend can go, that's one thing. If you're holding tickets for people you don't even know, just in case they might want to....then it all becomes a race to see who can buy as many tickets as they can. It doesn't need to be any more of a zoo than it already is. If frosh monkeys learn about wildfire and want to go, they can go in the spring, or pick up an unwanted ticket from someone else possibly, but it's before Oct break, right around when midterms are, anyway, so chances are it'd be fairly difficult for them.

            Fuck fuck fuckety fuck...
So I was waiting for Jacquie to let me know if she wanted me to buy her a ticket (shes in Uganda right now) and when I logged on to the site today only 3 tickets were left, so I was like shit ill just buy 2 and get rid of the spare if she doesn't want it. But by the time i'd typed my credit card number, they were sold out. SO i do not have a ticket. Im really really really upset, like i might cry about it. Damn it. Why doesn't the site store that? Why did i leave my wallet downstairs last night? Why don't I have a ticket. *cry* did any of you happen to buy an extra you'd be willing to trade for $90, my eternal love, and a baked good of your choice? PLEASE

I am going. No question. Plane tickets already booked and all that. When do tickets go on sale. Depending on what I'm doing I might need some one to buy mine's for me. Also, I understand that Vassar's Freshman weekend is the weekend before WF. I know I'll be there.

ok, so I have tickets now! 3 of them. One for me, one for probably Jacquie, and one for whichever of you wants it most/first/offers me the best bribe (aka a ride there, a live lesson, some sort of shiny new balance, whatever you have to offer). And no Alex, I still don't consider anything that starts with "Uncle Alex will" to be a good bribe. Bribes are things I want. Also, I want my $90 back.

I can give you these 90 dollars if no one else is interested. As for bribes, I have a great and many things that I'm sure a young woman such as yourself would be interested. Did I mentions my wonderful balloon dildos. They are larger than life (in most cases) and can be equipped with real vibrating action. I wouldn't skimp on the lube though, as a latex tube breaking during the act can cause panic in many situations and certainly some pain and hygiene problems in this case, trust me I know.....can I have my fire drums ticket now?

Alex, what exactly did I do to make you think that I was some sort of kinky sex fiend? I think you're confusing me with someone else... or projecting or something. Or is this like how I became the sketchiest person at Vassar College? Based in facts that I'm proud, of yet taken to a completely untrue and somewhat surreal conclusion? I want nothing to do with your kinky balloon sculptures. Come up with a better bribe. And sadly, I have no tickets for fire drums. Wildfire yes. Fire drums, no. Have fun at Burning man!
PS did you see the awesome glow unicycle things in the closing ceremonies of the olympics?
