so mooney, tim and I went home from Vassar for break one year. Mooney got us really excited about this amazing all-you-can-eat mexican place where if you beat the record for most burritos eating that day your food is free, or something like that. We spent days planning for our burrito feast, and when the day finally comes mooney finds out that the place no longer has the all-you-can-eat thing.

After we finished crying over our lost would-be mexican delights, we decided that we needed all-you-can-eat something. We narrowed our choices to 2: Olive Garden and Old Country Buffet. We ended up going to Olive Garden for all-you-can-eat breadsticks, salad and soup and proceded to eat a rediculous amount of breadsticks, salad and soup, not eat any of the actual food we ordered, and in the meantime, as is want to happen around groups of monkeys, make lots of noise, almost knock over the table several times, and we may have broken the cheese shredder thing in the process of trying to steel it.

all in all, a good night

very good. and now im working at the philly olive garden. This will be a true test of Karmic theory.
Similar things happen ever since when i've been to olive garden, so i dunno what to expect.

downloaded that giant mama-jamma and have listened to most of it (though often in 10-15minute stretches...its a long ass mofo). Really dig a lot of the beats and many of the ideas. Not sure I am a huge fan of the parts with the vocalists but I have a feeling that is my prejudice against vocalists in most electronic music so take that dislike lightly :)

The foundation sounds from the beginning of the piece are really unique and though I dont feel they completely jive when the melody starts in the transition and melding that goes on with them turns out really well.

The funky horn stuff that comes in around 14:40 or so is also really unique in the song and I love its inclusion :) adds some real flavor.

have to say the section starting around 17:30 is probably my favorite, dont know why, that style just seems really energetic and gets ya moving.

Havent heard as much of the second half as I have the first. Kinda overwhelming amount of music and blending of styles so I find it hard to give you more feedback as to your sound. Let me know if you have any more stand-alone pieces that dont last over an hour :P Keep rockin! And enjoy your shaky-cheese! Take care.
