Guru means heavy with knowledge. Guru is dear to Krishna, Guru takes on back to Godhead. Why? Because guru is serving God with great love. That means GOD LOVES HIM! If God loves this person so much that He makes him a guru then why isn't the guru nice? He is! He or she is wonderful, great, nice marvelous better than we could hope for!
Getting a guru isn't a burden, it is the most wonderful thing on earth, because Krishna loves his devotee gurus, and because the guru's disciples get to have that same relationship with Krishna but along with their guru. The guru is closer to Krishna in that relationship, but it the relationship that both devotees want, both the spiritual master and the disciple. The disciple lovingly serves Krishna and the guru in various ways. It isn't a burden. For example if someone wishes to cook for Krishna in the temple and the temple needs some sweet rice, the disciple may ask if they can cook the sweet rice for Krishna. It is not that the temple president or the temple commanders order the devotees around but at the same time a fully surrendered devotee will immediately do whatever they are asked not for show but out of genuine attachment and feeling for the Lord.
Humility is there too, and a devotee feels worthless than the other devotees because they realize their faults in general and pray to or ask forgiveness from Krishna for whatever false pride or ego they have. Krishna loves His devotees who take a humble attitude for falling down since it is so offensive to the devotees He loves. Even though a soul may actually be fallen, so long as they try to rectify their behavior Krishna will forgive their bad past habits, but we should be very careful to try not to fall down again. To do so might definately prolong our stay away from Krishna, and in material existence, and keep us away from serving Krishna in the spiritual sky free from shame and pride and all the other bad feelings in the material world. We also will respect Krishna's fellow devotees to us once we return back to where we came from.
