I keep trying my coin bra with a choli, but it's just not working. I've been trying to figure out a way to get it to work comfortably with no luck. A cross-back looks weird w/ an open back choli (kinda defeats the purpose). I thought a regular bra back would look odd. Fastening the bra to the choli so it's not just hanging from the halter strap isn't working as well as I hoped (just makes the top tie of the choli dig it, too). Fastening the bottom band as tight as possible for optimum support feels quite uncomfortable (can't....breath...). And, the cups still droop unless the halter top is tight, so still have lots of weight on my neck (but the bra's only half-covered with coins--not one of those "could stop a bullet" bras). If I stiffen the cups so they stand on their own, I think it won't fit right, and I'll look even more top heavy.
Is there some solution to this that I'm missing?

Re: Coin Bras and cholis
Tue, April 15, 2008 - 3:53 PMI do the criss-cross back. I just cannot wear a coin bra any other way. It really does not look too bad. Let me see if I have a pic on file.

Re: Coin Bras and cholis
Wed, April 16, 2008 - 3:33 PMHow about a strap straight down from the halter tie to the rib band of the bra. You would then have a single straight line down the opening of the choli, instead of an "x". Have you also thought about sewing sleeves onto the bra, so you don't have to wear the choli under the bra. It would look like a choli under a bra, but you wouldn't have the layering. Kind of like those fake layered t-shirts which are so popular now.

Thu, April 17, 2008 - 10:33 AMCan you space out the straps more? Like attach the straps closer in to the cups of the bra (rather than close to bra closure) and then add a support band running across your shoulders (under the choli top part so it isn't visible) from strap to strap so the weight is transferred off your neck and onto the cross strap? Am I making sense?
