You may want to try puting on soothing music or watching a video that gets you excited or reading an erotic story...whatever makes your buttons on. lol. Jelly toys are bad because they contain phthalates, they're porous, and cannot be cleaned properly. I can't find any information on polymer jelly, though. Personally I'd be safe and use a condom with it.
As for lubes and condoms... Well, depends which one you use. :) If you use a latex condom then water based is best to avoid break down. Ky Liquid, Wet [i dont think all of them are, may have to check], Astroglide are some examples are water based lube. It's best to read the labels to know what you're buying. They can get sticky [water makes them "come back to life" i've found] and yea you may need to reapply it.
