Hehehe, that's very cute.... but I bet the irony is, that she shoots really well and nobody better f'k with her. LOLL

Daddy has taken me to an indoor pistol range a few times. This is the only experience I have had handling and shooting a firearm. I must say, it's a very powerful feeling **feels good**. He was of course quite wary and very cautious, but was patient and I think he enjoyed seeing me enjoy it. This is an activity he likes to do himself in the first place and so doing it together was real nice. I believe he would support me having and using one, once I'm experienced enough.

Maybe I should get one like that. :))

I have truly mixed feelings about guns. I was raised to believe that a family has to protect their household type of a thing. My RT father made it clear that if a natural disaster happened (ie, hurricane Katrina or riots) that nobody would be taking our shoes and water supply. He took me shooting at a young age, taught me proper handling and safety of course. I even had my own designated gun (.22 mm) with a custom grip for my small hands. I get it, I do. I also have no problem with hunting (for food not trophy) and believe it is something that can keep us connected with the natural cycle. It's more humane than raising animals for slaughter... blah blah blah
On the other hand, my RT father and a close friend of mine both died from self inflicted gunshot so I guess I have a problem with humans being so weak in moments of passion because in my experience the guns rarely seem to be used for protection and usually end up being used in bad ways for whatever reason.

Not to get all Micheal Moore on ya, but you are more likely to be shot during a robbery if you have a gun than if you don't.

Only if you aren't prepared to use it, the people who get shot during a robbery who own guns are the idiots who buy a gun, put in their sock drawer and never train or think of it again, never consider if they could or would pull the trigger when it comes time, hence when the criminal walks in on them they hesitate, the gun is taken away from them and they are shot!

Golden rule, don't own a gun unless you know how to use it and unless you are prepared to use it!

Personally I own a number of them, love shooting, its a great sport / hobby. Guns are also an excellent tool, more people should be familiar and able to handle them.

Is skeet shooting when you put a clay disk in this little contraption and then yell "pull" and someone triggers the contraption to fling the disk into the air while you shoot at it? If so, yes I did that in KY. Everyone had a gunrack in their truck 'round them parts.
