I didn't screen catch this hat before, when it was at the small ellipse (encircled in red), but, you can see the elliptical outline of what clearly is a large body of hot moiste air (I sense there are prayers and songs within it...0=) that moved away from the Amazon basin last week, and is right nowmarch 8th 2009_) above east Europe. i would love to say that i made this picture, but truth be told its the album cover of some metal band i found, i love it though it says volumes, it reminds me of when you get that groove going in the night wood and your just channeling it and it just feels so right and its as if the wood themselves are leaning in to try and get a better view of the show, and its so beautifully "on" that the lady of the woods herself cant help but pop in for a visit just to see who is making that divine racket in her domain, and if you keep it "on" just right maybe she will do a little dance to show her appreciation or maybe just smile that smile...

First snow...just a light dusting...first white blanket for mother. This is the forest behind my house. I walked all the way out to the cove and it was incredibly quiet and beautiful.

ravens were the bravest, winging in close to abuse the hawk. you could hear the squirrels, pigeons, crows, starlings, etc all screaming and egging them on. the hawks must have snagged someone important!
