I know there are 26 "members" listed in the Birmingham Cacophony tribe, but no one actually seems to be active, so if I dont hear from anyone in the next week or so, there really is no point in keeping it open.
We can all then just face the fact that so long as your football teams wins and you love Jesus, that's more than enough.

Ramblings, and where are my cacophony-peeps?

Does anybody want to make some mischief in the Ham??
I am so tired of barbq and politeness and sports.
Lets all please get together and move stuff around and see if anyone notices.
I am so confused with this tribe thing...and how it works. (Yes, I know I started this tribe, but I'm not 16 and so social networking is not intuitive to me)
Is anyone reading this?? Let me know you're out there, folks!!! Is there a better, easier way for us Misfits to plan an outting?
Someone suggested Yahoo Groups but then I think that means everyone has to have a Yahoo email account, and that's a pain.
In the past I've done all sorts of fun stuff, but now all I can seem to do is go shopping, listen to the radio, think about dying and organizing my socks. We have to shake stuff up, if not for them, then at least for us.
I can think of all sorts of things. Lets put an angel and a devil on Vulcan's shoulders or at least sit around and talk about it.
Let's create a Haunted House, of all the things that people are really scared of: Egans, my son is gay, I'm being audited, and they really do talk about me behind my back.
Singing rap-lyrics to Opera Music.
How about a bully pulpit in the middle of town where we take turns talking about the stuff that's wrong with the world.
Maybe a game of tag in and out of downtown businesses.
I dont care what --- JUST SOMETHING.
I'm getting called Ma'am and Lady these days....this must stop

Hey you guys im new to this. but i have some ideas that might be cool. i was thinking we get 3 cars and leave Birmingham toward Tuscaloosa. we line up on the interstate, and set our cruse controls at 60 mph. causing traffic to back up behind us. then when we get to t town we drive back to bham the same way.
or just walk around in ski masks both could be fun.

Dying in Tuscaloosa

I think I'm the only person in this tribe that is in Tuscaloosa. Regardless, I work in a call center that does customer satisfaction surveys. It's your basic 'coffee machine is broke and the copier is shitting ink' desk job. I need creative ideas here. Currently I'm making my own revisions of a few office memos. My bordem* will only stretch so far until I do something that gets me caught and fired. Need help. I can only check back once or twice a week. I live in squaller so I have to come to my parents house to use the internet and wash clothes. Anything will help. I'm Glad to be apart of this board or thread or what ever the hell it is.

What would you all think about making a Yahoo group for Birmingham Cacophony in order to keep in touch better? I myself don't use tribe.net much at all, and I think an e-mail based group might be a little more accessible and/or efficient. What do you guys think?

Friday after Thanksgiving Event: "Persona Remodel"

"Persona Remodels" is something I did at Burning Man this year. I asked people 5 standard questions and then came up with how they really Wanted to be seen by others, and made them a sign to wear.
After all, Christmas activity is really mostly about getting people to treat us right, so lets just avoid all the purchasing and get right to it.

Examples of some Persona Remodel signs I did were:
"Treat me like the cool older brother you wish you had"
"Treat me like an inventor of the future -- now taking requests"
"Treat me like we're the last 2 people on earth and you have to forgive me"
"Treat me like the embodiment of your strongest sexual fantasy"
"Treat me like your grandmother" (worn by a 20 year old man)

I'll got the signs all ready to go.... just need a partner or 2. Call me NOW to coordinate: 205-478-8064, and let's put some Cacophony into the 'Ham!!!

The Compliment / Insult people

Do you crave the thrill of insulting and/or complimenting strangers? Then become one of "The Insult / Compliment People".

Strangers come up to our appropriately labeled stand, select either insult or compliment and we give them an insult or a compliment. Surprisingly, most people choose insult.
So if you're good at insulting (and complimenting), sign up for this skinny dip into human psychology, and BECOME an Insult / Compliment Person.
