OK, fellow Jedis, the time has come.
The light sabers are in Oakland, and will be in my hands tomorrow.
We need to raise money, and have fun doing it.
My proposal: Bombard various clubs and parties with light sabers.
So, Give me some ideas! Where do you think that an influx of 100 swords would be fun, and help out cause.
Badass

Re: Need venues for light saber events
Thu, April 26, 2007 - 10:55 AMVenus so far:
Anon Salon
San Francisco
144 LS. ( cheaper kind)
Result: I got my ass kicked by a unstoppable amazonian warrior named Leslie.
Thanks Choclate Blunt for your help.
Dan Browns in Palo Alto
120 LS.
Result: fun but lost on the regulars.
Burnal Equinox
Mightys San Francisco
240 LS.
Resultt:
Hundreds of burners playing outside all night long. Better than smoking.
Great flickr pictures.
Got my ass kicked again by Spanky. She owned me.
Thanks to Chocolate Blunt for
Ocean Beach burn pyre inaugration
120 LS. 1 Tesla coil.
Result: beautiful dancing on the beach with beams of light in their hand.
The police did not approve of the Tesla coil, an the two generators used to run it. And, as a credit to their department, they di not take bribes (Light sabers or money). But besides that, it was much fun.
Digg 1 million user party in San Francisco
24 LS.
Result: They liked it- showd up in the flick pictures.
Note: I was going to go all out with 300 light sabers, but the organizers freaked out. Remember next time to ask for forgiveness instead of permision ;)
BRAF fundrasing event
Supper Club San Francisco
212 LS.
Result: Perfectly fun. Met David Best briefly. Women on stilts with light sabers.
Thanks to Spanky, Choclate Blunt, and Joshua for the help.
Earth Jam celebration on Earth Day
60 LS.
Result: rain just as it turned dark. Asked for donations -- thats the last time I try that. It was painfully hard not to give out the love.
But it was a neat experience.
Tried out my "light saber for the homeless"-- One homeess guy named Travis - It worked out well. Someday, I will have to further that dream.
