Claiming yours is easy peasy. Either (a) send a self addressed, stamped envelope to Stickers, C/O BWB, 1900 3rd Street, SF, CA, 94158, and BWB will send a couple your way. They cost about $0.15 ( where's the cents button on a keyboard gone, anyway? ), so if you include a quarter in the envelope, it'll about cover the cost of making more.

Or option (b), paypal BWB $1 to cover the cost of the envelope and postage and so forth, along with your address, and they'll mail em that way, too. Their paypal address is donate@burnerswithoutborders.org. Don't forget to INCLUDE YOUR ADDRESS in the notes section.

I was just reminded of the night it was me, Hawk, Xander, Kat, Shaffer and the Lads wandering around the playa together.

After we danced out at Uchronia (the waffle) we stumbled upon an installation of different sized towers with lit colored balls on top of them. They had buttons on the sides which caused them to chime with different notes and change colors, then David found that if you press both buttons they turn green. So we worked together to have all of the buttons on all of the towers pushed simultaneously and the music it made was beautiful. When we let go, we were applauded by people who had stopped to watch us and see the results.

Later in the morning I wandered around the base of the Man with just the Lads and had fun playing with the red LED glasses. Watching the Lads and their different reactions to the visuals they saw behind those glasses was beautiful and hilarious.

The ride on the barstool artcar was fun, I'm still amazed at the memory of Mikey's gal jumping off of the Mantis car and running fullspeed to jump on the one we were on - straight into Mikey's arms. That showed me that playadipity is real, that if we follow our intution and just make a leap - there is a very good chance of jumping into the arms of the person we are supposed to meet.

There are many great memories, walking hand in hand with Hawk across the open playa, dancing to Pink Floyd on the Esplanade next to a truly insane man creating our own odd ballet, feeling safe enough on the Mantiscar to nap for a time while they drove Hawk and I to the Esplanade, dancing out front at the Fetish club and feeling like I belonged up on that stage, dancing with Shaffer and Xander at Entheon with Shaffer's white sheets. The way they looked under the blacklights was magical. Hanging out at home with everyone and the heartattack inducing breakfast I made for the Lads one morning...

There were so many beautiful moments, the nights on the playa are so majestic, so awe-inspiringly beautiful. Let's start focusing on these, let's reminisce about those beautiful moments which touched us and burned into our memories with beauty, love and light.

All my love to you all,

We all had our trials and tribulations at Burning Man, and I think, on the whole, we stuck through it and emerged stronger and wiser. The test of one's true character comes in the face of hardship, not when things are going your way, and most of us showed we are true people of character ... or people who take dental hygeine a little too seriously.

Burningman 06 was a very significant event in my life.

2006 was a very difficult year in my life, probably the most difficult of my 43 years. In February 06 a ten year relationship I was in crashed and burned. It was a messy end, Accustaions flew back and forth, lawyers got involved, friends choose sides. The woma I speak of and I were family for a long time. When I met her she was a virtual recluse and a massive alcoholic. I put my life on hold to be with her and be her family. Slowly she came out of her haze and gained more social skills, found better anti-depressants and has blossomed. Unfortunately at that time my own demons began to surface and I struggled with addiction due to a number of reasons. The end result was that she couldn't or wouldn't be there for me like I was for her and she kicked me out of her house. The same week I lost my job. In 2005 I had been given an assignment that had me commuting weekly from SF to New Jersey. I flew to NJ every Sunday, worked all week and returned to SF for the weekend. During that time my ex formed friendships and came out of her shell. I helped her get to that point and when I started the weekly bi-costal commute she had no choice but to go it alone for the most part. When I returned to SF fulltime, she had little use for me. I spent most of 2006 recovering from my addiction issues, gettinfg a new housing situation and struggling to keep afloat financially, exhausting my pension and 401K in the process. Mistakes were made by both parties in the relationship, but while I admitted mine, she took a "holier than thou", "I've done no wrong " stance. the majority of our mutual "friends" bought her story. I realize now they were never really my friends. Anyway I emerged stronger and wiser although significantly bruised from the whole episode.

2005 was my first brun and I attended it with her and some mutual friends, none of them attended in 2006 which is why I joined Divination Nation. I had offers to join other camps, but wanted to camp with people I had never met before and forge new friendships, independent of my ex.

Burningman 06 signified the shutting of the door on a rather unplesant year and the opening of a new yearr. It was chance for me to shine and reach out and explore my potential, see new posibilities for my future and come out from being under the shadow of my ex.

The burn this year was a huge success for me and you all played quite a significant part in it. Thank you for that. I achieved all I wanted to and more and gained new friends that I hold dear. Most of all I saw what I was capeable of and found great peace and joy.

Happy new year to you all.
I only soloed once during the day, for a very short time. I got off of my bike twice to greet friends from Colorado...I'm a terrible introvert in a sea of strange faces. Though I did my best to smile, wave, say hello and even talked to a guy trying to flirt with me who came riding up beside me and stayed with me for several blocks. I'm not very good at that kind of thing - he rode off thinking I wasn't interested, when I was just shy and speechless.
