For four years, the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors has hosted the most dynamic open drum circle in NYC. Our lease in Chelsea is up at the end of the year. The last Full Moon Ceremony / Drum & Dance will be held in January. We will be moving to our permanent home, an hour north of the city, to re-open in Fall 2009. More details will be posted shortly.
We’ll be holding only three more Full Moons in Chelsea. Please join us Thursday, November 13 to honor the divine and all the blessings of community. Dear friends
For four years, the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors has hosted the most dynamic Full Moon celebration and drum circle in NYC. Our lease in Chelsea is up, we are moving to our permanent home, an hour north of the city, re-opening in 2009.
This is the last Full Moon that Alex and Allyson Grey’s entire art exhibit will be on view. Also on view is Alex Grey’s 40-year self-portrait restrospective. In January, the Full Moon will be held in the bare chapel, as it was when CoSM first opened four years ago.
Please join us Friday, December 12, to honor the divine and all the blessings of community. The Chapel of Sacred Mirrors has been a sanctuary for contemplation and events encouraging the creative spirit in New York City since 2004. Hundreds of thousands of people have visited Alex and Allyson Grey’s living brochure; their vision of a permanent home, but the lease has ended. CoSM is pleased to announce the purchase of 40-acre former interfaith retreat campus, 65 miles up the Hudson River. It’s a 20-minute walk from the New Hamburg MetroNorth station or about an hour’s drive from NYC. CoSM Sanctuary will open in Wappinger in mid-2009.

Sunday, January eleventh will be our last Full Moon celebration on 27th Street. The art collection will no longer be on view, this month’s gathering will be as the first one here, with bare walls. In CoSMosis, the usual tapestries will be replaced by the murals created during the drum & dance over the last year. They are available for suggested $500 donation.
