aright.. the schedule..

it's official, I am off to Miami come the 20th for the Winter Music Conference with one of the dance companies I roll with
the Dance Warrior Project.. a fusion of afro-house, Capoeira-esque, african and freestyle dance..
we're gonna roll through there in full war paint and costume and take that whole non-tribal scene by storm.

then comes the 29th of March. barely two days after I get back from Miami, I'm on a plane to Portland Oregon [YES my P-town peoples!]
to do a gig with Haj and Spiro at Spin Cycle. the bill was already done up and everythang and they managed to get me adderated.

word's not yet in on the days between, a gig in Seattle may be on the map, but then, on the 3rd, we hit again as the official after-party for the Lorin/Fungineers throwdown out in Ashland

then, we get back, that thursday, my girl Sequoia the incomparable is having a bangout gallery exhibit at COSM in back in NYC, and that Friday, it's a lunatic mash-up at the Sub-Swara party with Freak Factory vs. Sub Swara.. which is kinna like saying Haj and one set of his boys squares off against Haj and another set of his boys. :)
Spiro on strings, Haj on wheels and yours truly on vocalia/instigatory throwdown, vs. Haj on wheels, Dhruva on live tablas, and Sunder scratching with Juakali on mic. now, there have lately been all kinds of doppelganger sightings of the me all over the place, this is one that isn't a doppel, but he's very much my height, locks, same general build, only he's a dub-step, raggah rhyme spittin bad-ass mc, and I'm.. well I'm a fuckin hybrid somethin that redefines itself every time the music moves me in another direction.. It's gonna be a KILLAH night, and I invite any and all who will be in any of these places at these times to bring yo ass and yo vibe right the fuck on through.

for those who do not know, and I am beginning to understand that's quite a few of ya, I dance, sing, rhyme, poet, and a buncha other stuff, but those are the main ones for this set of giggages.. This is for all those who keep tabs on muh doins; who consistently check up on me and ask about my movements.. I knew there were several reasons for this tribe o-mine!

lastly, IF you've seen me, heard me, felt the vibe or just trust in what you know I'd bring, and you've got the ears of any of these promoters whose job it is to book cats, and get cats out to these places, PUT OUT THE WORD!! let folk know that there's this fuckin positive cat named BlackLight who's ready to step up into the arena and start shifting things across a larger platform..
outside of that, I thank you all for the continued love, and beauty and blah blahty bling blabba that I catch every time I write.. every time I perform, every fuggin random phone call.. thank you.
