Ok so I spelled it wrong.
The last thing on earth I wanna do after helping set up is to have to cook and no way am I asking my teenage son to cook cuz I'll die of food poisoning (or end up eaint bologna sandwiches).
I used to live in the San Pedro area and have a favorite sushi restaurant to go to. If anyone is up for Sushi let's go! They have an all you can eat sushi menu (or at least they used to three years ago ...). They have been around forever and serve good food - not just Sushi (so you wimpy "I dont eat sushi waaa" people can go too).
So if ya wanna sushi with me, grab on to your edamame and let me know. I'd love to have ya come with!

Re: Soooooo-sheeeeeee!!
Tue, July 3, 2007 - 6:23 PMAndrea wants me to join y'all for sushi on Friday night -- but it's going to be totally dependent on my getting through traffic from Westwood to San Pedro in a reasonable amount of time.
... Andrea's planning on bringing my wedge-tent and poles out with y'all -- you'll need the stakes, a mallet, a couple of dry-wall screws and a power drill (maybe not the last two items 'cuz we MIGHT be able to get those taken care of on Wednesday). It can go up in less than 30 minutes with just ONE person doing it - two or more and it becomes cake-n-pie to set up.
The Blackshire's main tent is NOT going out, so you don't have to worry at all about helping set up that monster. No telling WHEN Brian and Company are going to be arriving or if they'll be bringing out things like pikes or cassocks for the rest of the group (*maybe they'll be bringing cassocks* ... doubt very much they'll have pikes)
I'm thinking Blackshire's will *just* be setting out an array of personal tents and people will bring out whatever weapons they've got... which means mostly swords.
I've got rapiers, long-swords, a halberd, and my breastplate & helm in terms of display / demonstration items.
Wait for Mike Cravens before you start setting up 'cuz he's the one in charge of the layout for St. Mike's... If you *really* feel like being helpful, I'm sure he'd love to get a hand or two to help set up his area. -

Re: Soooooo-sheeeeeee!!
Tue, July 3, 2007 - 6:29 PMIf anything I am helpful, strong and never afraid to break a nail.
If anyone needs help and they see me - just say "HEY" and I'll be happy to help. I've always wanted to see what goes into raising those canvas tents.
I will do nothing until Mike says so. Last thing I wanna do is incur his wrath ;p me so skeer'd!! (just pokin fun Mike) I wouldn't know what to do anyway other than stand there and look stupid.
We plan on leaving Corona around 3 pm (ish). I have to hit the store before I go.
I am going to bring home made sour dough to share with the class.
I don't own any weapons other than my eating knife and my mouth - but I have plenty of girly busy junk to bring - hand sewing, inkle loom and all that jazz. If anyone wants to learn how to couch buttons I'll be willing to teach :)
