In the coming hours, days, months
this tribe will be filled up with pictures and comments and memories and I hope that you all sound in at some part and let's talk art, let's talk reno, hell–I'm hoping to hear stories about one night stands and doin' it in our bathroom!

But seriously, we had some good times there–in the name of art–and no one more than me!

Thanks for coming.

Feel free to add your own BL pictures.

Blue Lyon was the name of our gallery's founder. Lyon, actually his mother's maiden name. He goes by Tom now, a name that he gave himself on his own third birthday, but until that time his parents had just called him 'blue'.

After Tom's departure from the gallery, Max & I changed the name to BleuLion.

Nothing really changed, well alot changed but that was constant. Change. We had a lot of parties, err ah I mean art shows through the years. We saw a lot of faces, come and go. Flew the coop, went to L.A., Boston, N.Y., S.F., Portland, Europe, who can keep track? In fact, one time I figured that we did over 50 art shows there at the Lion.

    Were you in one?

I might as well keep talkin' here..

We did shows that were annual, such as the ever popular XXXPosed, pronounced [X-posed]. That one joined the industry of art and adult entertainment, yes strippers or dancers as we were told many of them like to be called. Oh yes,we worked at the Lion, that show went on in partnership with River Gallery, the idea of Pam and Ann. 4 years.

And there was the AfterBurn show, that one was a celebration after the glorious and famous giant party on the black rock playa. You've seen some pictures from there, more on the way.

And there were many student shows there for UNR students and the wild renegades like Neon Jeff and many many many more.

Sorry, I haven't uploaded more pictures here yet, gotta get them from another hardrive, soon. very soon.
