at Bobolink music festival......Fifth annual but BTS has done all 4 in the past. There will BEE a big hole to fill, we just might have to LOUD CAMP it up even more!!!
Wanna give a shout out to the Turtles for being a huge inspiration for Wood Bee shenanigans. LOUD CAMP was started pre Tortugas 06 when Kat and her kids and Mark and I wanted to make sure it was rowdier than Harvest Meltdown the year previous. Thus started the trend that bloomed at Bobolink 07. And the Wood Beez, Well, I dont think Dan Malloy would of came out to cali so fast if it wasnt for the music of BTS. Him and I created the BEez at Bobo 06 and shouted it numerous times during Turtles Tavern set. BTS has been a big inspiration for the community and all the creativity invoived! I am not surprised. The sheer creativity that the band rubs off on the fans is infectious and you will all surely bee missed in Belden this weekend. Have a great show(s) down in North Shore!! WE LOVE YOU

ITS OFFICIAL! TURTLE MUST RETURN IN 2010!!!
It was truly a wonderful festival, the ambiance was so freakin stellar, LOUD CAMP became famous, everyones a wood bee, the ladybugs landed, the butterflies bloomed, the river waws swam.....Ten Mile Tide rocked the tavern like we like that place to rock....IZABELLA took the show with their completely amazing Sunday night main set. WOW. ALO was really good (not as good as they were at Tortugas) and Butter was sorely needed. Five Eyed Hand rocked the fuck out, Montana Slim showed their creativity in the Tavern nicely, and there were some great artists. BUT
Bobo lacked Turtle for me this year as well as some others.
Bobo REALLY lacked a non Skull Fuck late nite. We had gamelan X one night, Rab/Garaj one night, and EOTO the last night. While I loved EOTO and the wormhole of BASS CAMP was a trip, I really felt like BObo was lacking the song soul grooves for sunrise.
I thought of BTS last year in the rain KILLIN IT and SHOWIN US THE BOBO LOVE with the songs and spirit up until sunrise. Its a Bobolink staple, and this year it lacked indeed.
COME BACK TURTLE!!! Even if you dont do a late nite........your style and energy was truly missing for me this year. Less WHOMP more GRASPABLE MUSIC PLEASE!!!!
