So we're going LED this year, pure LED.
We got the rope light thing down, but now we're looking for something that would have a strong enough beam to act as a headlight(s). Anyone have any suggestions on where one might find such a beast?

Fri, June 20, 2008 - 11:45 PMi upgraded my mag light to a 3W LED conversion and it absolutely kicks LED ass. Lasts forever and is really bright.
I found 3W LED bulbs for sale on EBay and bought a handful to play with.
I ran 1- 1milliwatt bulb on a D cell for 6 days straight, 24 hours a day, just to see how long it'd last.
Energizer Max "D" cell = 18.000 Amp Hours
18A/.1W=180 hours of run time or >7 days of continuous operation.
what's a regular bulb get? several hours? =) LED's are awesome.
just a heads up.... LED's have a specific light spectrum measured in "MCD" you'll notice in the ebay listings below...
