Djunya's sets were the bass weight, and loved his bar set... and the bar in general for that matter. -

Who was playing main stage Sat. night after 2 am?? The shedule says " On the One"? They sounded SO good when I was chillin' at the camp site... course I was too "tired" to make it over to the show the check it out. :-) My dancing feet were d.o.n.e. dogs. -

They were having sound issues on-stage (fuzzy monitor somehow).
FOH sounded great.
At the end of the set, they played a Jan Jan....which really built up the energy.
When they brought up the DJ and went into an Asian Massive....it was freakin' awesome!!!

Albino! (first chance to chill and watch- they sent me there!)
Thursday night Izabella (I'm biased, but come the fuck on that shit was hot!!)
New Monsoon (this new line-up is pretty sick!!!)
The Fareed Haque stuff was very cool, especially with the incredible tabla player, but not the right time slot IMO.
I really enjoyed both On The One sets, but I was not present enough to slide them into my top 3
Big props to first timers 5 Eyed Hand and Byron Space Circus for laying down really good sets -

Wed, May 28, 2008 - 9:09 PMI was so glad to hear Sean Lehe sit in with BTS for that second set late nite, and play some different Turtle songs.....it was really cool to hear him jam for Changing Lanes fer a change. :)
ALASKA by Monsoon was a highlight, too !!
IMO what made Victor Barnes so awesome for that late nite is that they played for so damn long and it was sooooo damn loose.......great way to end the weekend with the grounding beat of bluegrass. -
