FROM SAN FRANCISCO and as an alternative from Los Angeles (mostly freeway/70mph roads)

5 south to 138 east (from LA, 5 north to 138 east)

go approximately 13 miles to 3 points road, turn right

go 3 miles and it will merge with pine canyon rd at an old gas station(no longer function-able), continue approximately another 5 miles to the big orange sign with smokey the bear on it, and make an extremely sharp right here. this road will be marked as 7N23. Take this road and stay to the right through any forks. Continue for 4.3 miles, stay to the left at the fork (DO NOT GO TOWARDS Sawmill) *reset odometer* At 1.8 miles go left towards Atmore Meadows. Camp is just 2.4 miles ahead. Welcome!

FROM LA, THE SLOW WAY (in my opinion)

From Los Angeles take all alternate routes to the 5-North. Exit Lake Hughes Rd/ Castaic Lake Park and go right (EAST). *reset your odometer* At 22.6 miles make a left on Pine Cyn Rd (towards Sandberg/Gorman) *reset odometer* At 4.6 miles just past the Help Prevent Wildfires sign there is a dirt road on your left marked 7N23 *reset odometer* Take this road and stay to the right through any forks. Continue for 4.3 miles, stay to the left at the fork (DO NOT GO TOWARDS Sawmill) *reset odometer* At 1.8 miles go left towards Atmore Meadows. Camp is just 2.4 miles ahead. Welcome!
