Adapting the rules slightly for the month of May. If you didn't post to last month's challenge, you should post three positive physical features, at least one of which must be below the neck, in your opening post. If you posted to last month's challenge, then you post one positive thing about yourself or your life if you either lost or maintained and were happy about maintaining, and you post three positive things about yourself or your life if you either gained or maintained and were unhappy about maintaining.

    1) I'm getting things done! I'm so proud of myself. I've bought everything I had put on my list so far except the electrical adaptors and such (which I'm buying today).

crap these have to be positive right?
so Im a weenie isnt very positive, either is being afraid of the scale....

I know when to let the scale have an opportunity to control my mood for the day
      today is not its day

So you chose not to weigh in? That's good. You have several days in a row, so giving it a rest is a good thing. Weight can fluctuate from day to day for a variety of reasons, so weighing in every day can have a negative impact on your self esteem, which can make it easier to say "what the hell, why not".

Yeah, weighing everyday can be counter productive. It would be pretty hard to gain 5 pound in one day, but sometimes the scale says I did. B.S.!! (I still weigh more than I should, but I try to remember that there are other factors involved beyond actual fat)
SO!!!!! It is THREE WEEKS UNTIL MY WEDDING!!!! I'm sooo excited, and it's my last day of actual classes (hellish semster, mind you). My weight loss had been pretty slow/plateaued and then I started a new routine this week. It has totally been kicking my butt, but the challenge is re-motivating and I have definitely seen results already. I didn't even realize that my workout was getting boring. Duh!
    Anyways:
I don't know if this is a positive thing about myself, but I am fairly proud so:

    1. I filled my plate (little plate) with different kinds of desserts today (leftovers from office party) and I took a taste of each and a couple tastes of my faves, and then I threw the rest away!! The most important thing about this is: 1. Not continuing to eat it just 'cuz it was there 2. Recognizing that it didn't make my body feel good after I ate it (sugar jitters)

    :)

I haven't been weighing myself, getting enough exercise or eating that great. I've been busy and I've been stressed out about my PhD exams - which are coming up in June. I'm not going to worry too much about any of it until I get through my exams and then I intend to return to my regularly scheduled exercise and eat a more balance diet than I've been eating. I will try to get in whatever exercise I can until then, but it can't be my priority until mid-June.

So three things about my life that are good:
        1. I'm making pretty good progress towards my degree: I've got themes for my exams worked out and I think I even have a dissertation topic!
        2. My man and I have been living together for 8 months and it's going pretty well - despite my general crankiness and stress levels about the exams.
        3. I'm starting to figure out my place in my field of study and my career goals.
