I've caught a couple of episodes, but I don't watch regularly. It's annoying to see people kicking themselves and crying because they *only* lost a couple of pounds THAT WEEK. :::rolls eyes::: I'm happy not to gain, and if I lose, I'm ecstatic.

I like watching; for a while I had it DVR'ed. Diana - I could see your point, but when you spend the ENTIRETY of your life, daily, working out and hard core watching what you eat, and you have 100+ to lose, I could definitely see how its frustrating for folks. Most of us maybe devote a few hours a week exercising - those folks are doing a couple hours a DAY. They have reason to be upset when they don't see the results - I understand!

I agree...but it's not realistic if you ask me. I'd lose 10 pounds in one week too if I spent 6 hours a DAY with a personal trainer!!! That's what bothers me about the show.

i love the biggest loser! sometimes when i'm on my own at the gym feeling like i've had enough, i imagine bob+jillian being like COME ON! FIVE MORE MINUTES! and it totally keeps me going. heheh, i'm silly. also, its fun to watch people transform and see what they're dealing with and how emotional they get and how proud of themselves and eachother they are. its a funny thing to have a competition for.

maybe its not realistic, but how many reality tv shows are? stranded on an island? 20 people trying to date the same person? are you smarter than a 5th grader? haha... but it is actually REAL. so maybe we can't drop everything and devote our entire existence to losing weight (or maybe we could! at least more so...) but those 12 or however many people per season do get to! lucky them! AND we get to watch the whole thing go down! i love it.

but like, jello? gross. they eat some gross foods and call them healthy, but i applaud most of what they do. and its inspiring to see them work hard and change.

I'll stop and look at biggest loser for a few minutes if Im surfing past it. I dont care for the reality shows like that much. I dont like the idea of winning something at the expense of others. Now are you smarter than a 5th grader is a different story.. It would be fantastic if we all could have a personal trainer and all the other professionals that go along with what they do.. . There is very little real in reality shows I think and why dont they ever have anyone on there that has some disabilites, you know.. arthritis, back problems, stuff that can have a hand in making it difficult to exersize like they do.. but thats just my opinion..

have they not? i dunno, as much as i enjoy it when i see it i'm not an avid watcher. but they've definitely had people with injuries on who couldnt do certain things.

anyway. i just saw it the other night, it makes me smile so much to see how happy and healthy the contestants become! thats inspiration.

Yeah, it's inspiring for me too, even though I know they have a lot more time and resources than the average joe. I haven't seen many episodes, though...

I'd like to know how the two remaining women on the show lost 13 pounds in one week!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially Ali who is starting to look unnaturally skinny. Her head is looking too big for her body and she somehow lost 13 pounds when there's not much body fat left on her!
