Mon, April 17, 2006 - 4:20 PMBob Segar. He also made 'that old time rock n roll song." There's a song by the Briefs called "Kill Bob Segar Right Now." I think it is a little too racy for anyone here to listen to, but it's the idea.

Re: Best Repetitive Songs
Mon, April 17, 2006 - 4:23 PMThere is a ... um song... called "Rocket Mortin"
It has no music, the whole "song" is made up by repeating the phrase "Rocket Mortin" over and over at different speeds and intervals.
Instruments are scary.
No way does Kraftwerk belong on this list. They were innovators, and innovation is not dull, ever. -

"I'm Bored" by Iggy Pop
I'm bored
I'm the chairman of the bored,
I'm a lengthy monologue
I'm livin' like a dog
I'm bored
I bore myself to sleep at night
I bore myself in broad daylight coz
I'm bored
Just another slimy bore
I'm free to bore my well-bought friends
And spend my cash until the end coz
I'm bored
I'm bored
I'm the chairman of the board
I'm sick
I'm sick of all my kicks
I'm sick of all the stiffs
I'm sick of all the dips
I'm bored
I bore myself to sleep at night
I bore myself in broad daylight coz
I'm bored
I'm bored
Just another dirty bore
All right doll-face
Come on and bore me
I'm sick
I'm sick of all my kicks
I'm sick of all the stiffs
I'm sick of all the dips
I'm sick
I'm sick when I go to sleep at night
I'm still sick in the broad daylight coz
I'm bored
I'm bored
I'm the chairman of the. . .
BORED! -

Re: Best Repetitive Songs
Sun, March 11, 2007 - 4:29 PMShout
Chorus
Shout
Shout
Let it aloud
These are the things I can do without
Come on
Im talking to you
Come on
Shout
Shout
Let it aloud
These are the things I can do without
Come on
Im talking to you
Come on
In violent times
You shouldnt have to sell your soul
In black and white
They really really ought to know
Those one track minds
That took you for a working boy
Kiss them goodbye
You shouldnt have to jump for joy
You shouldnt have to jump for joy
Shout
Shout
Let it aloud
These are the things I can do without
Come on
Im talking to you
Come on
They gave you life
And in return you gave them hell
As cold as ice
I hope we live to tell the tale
I hope we live to tell the tale
Shout
Shout
Let it aloud
These are the things I can do without
Come on
Im talking to you
Come on
Shout
Shout
Let it aloud
These are the things I can do without
Come on
Im talking to you
Come on
And when youve taken down your guard
If I could change your mind
Id really love to break your heart
Id really love to break your heart
Shout
Shout
Let it aloud
These are the things I can do without
Come on
Im talking to you
Come on
(Repeat) -

Hopping through the forest
Picking up the field mice and bopping them on the head.
Down came the good fairy.
And she said, "Little bunny Foo-Foo,
I don't want to see you picking up the field mice and bopping them on the head.
I'll give you three chances, and then I'm going to turn you into a pig."

Re: Best Repetitive Songs
Sat, June 21, 2008 - 9:47 PMI thought a lot about this.
because...
1. I haven't posted here in two and a half years, who cares about me.
2. I couldn't get these songs out of my mind, so I counted the words for a few hours to make a pattern.
3. I can't decide if my song counts because the words don't quite repeat, but the melody does. So...what about BINGO?
