Re: the bore awards
Thu, January 25, 2007 - 1:23 PMI fully endorse and support the awardment of this award. Futhermore, I feel it represents an invaluable representation of all our community strives to represent. Even if Tumbleweed is not actually a boar, I feel this award was well-merited, and most certainly signifies Tumbleweed's untiring commitment to boredom and dullness. Vienna sausages, apple juice, and fruit cups all around. -

I did? oh...ok...I suppose maybe I did.
I am so deeply honored. I am preparing a speech right now. -

Re: the bore awards
Fri, January 26, 2007 - 6:18 AMNobody likes apple juice. You have to drink it anyway, though I will dillute it with lots of tap water and add some extra sugar.
Nothing beats a lukewarm cup of dilluted White House apple juice while waiting for someone to write a speech.

Re: the bore awards
Mon, January 29, 2007 - 7:23 AMI'll just keep watering down the apple juice then. More, anyone? Or perhaps a Saltine cracker? -
-
Re: the bore awards
Mon, January 29, 2007 - 11:20 PMOk...my cat ate my speech. Please stop watering down your apple juice, I feel terrible. It must taste awful by now.
And...I lied. There is not speech. I've never written a speech in my life. Just the thought of it makes me completely flustered. -

Re: the bore awards
Thu, February 1, 2007 - 1:44 AMeveryone, all together now:
I hear America singing, the varied carols I hear;
Those of mechanics--each one singing his, as it should be, blithe and strong;
The carpenter singing his, as he measures his plank or beam,
The mason singing his, as he makes ready for work, or leaves off work;
The boatman singing what belongs to him in his boat--the deckhand singing on the steamboat deck;
The shoemaker singing as he sits on his bench--the hatter singing as he stands;
The wood-cutter's song--the ploughboy's, on his way in the morning,
or at the noon intermission, or at sundown;
The delicious singing of the mother--or of the young wife at work--or of the girl sewing or washing--Each singing what belongs to her, and to none else;
The day what belongs to the day--At night, the party of young fellows, robust, friendly,
Singing, with open mouths, their strong melodious songs. -

Re: the bore awards
Thu, February 1, 2007 - 7:07 AMGotta love singing with an open mouth. I mean, as opposed to singing with a closed mouth.
Although maybe we could all try singing this together close-mouthed. That might be interesting, as well. Or maybe just chanting it with our mouths closed. -

This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.
