Howdy Conclavicles,

It's 2009, and I've gotten the first email from Crimson... that means it's time for my first posting to y'all! The intent process starts now, so get your intentions out and leave your expectations behind. Right now, my intent is to be at Burning Man 2009 with Chandra, camping with Jen and Michael and the "...And Then There's Only Love" crew in some incarnation. My intent is to gather a circle of family to support each other and help each other achieve the playa in cheap and stylish fashion, and to walk with you into the Great Circle on Burn Night for that front row experience between the Fire and the Fireflies.

This year things are changing a bit. Crimson's got new rules. She's allowed to make rules - it's her event and we're the hired help. That said, if we want to play at her party, we need to abide by the rules. The choreography needs to be tight, it needs to be 15 minutes, and we need at least 15 dedicated performers. Our group has gone from 25-50 in past years, so I don't suspect that will be a problem... AND, we need to get on top of it early.

So, communicate your INTENT. Send email to jt@ppyro.com if you're interested - feel free to post here to get enthusiasm started, but remember that I need your email and real name info in the jt@ppyro.com address if you're really interested in going and joining up this year. What's your intent? What do you want to do? What do you want to see done differently in Boston Fire Family 2009? What do you want to see differently from the Conclave group you were in last year? What do you want to see in your group for your first visit to the desert?

I'll give y'all more detail as it coalesces... for now, how's about a heads-up and a headcount?
