Hi hoopers,
I want to invite you all to hoop it up on Wednesday evenings this spring/summer at the Boston Commons...Since BU Spin Jam will be at the Cambridge Commons on Mondays, some of us thought it would be nice to have another location for the Wednesday meetups. We will be gathering around 5:45, hopefully next week (5/6) if weather permits!

For those of you who are planning on coming to the Boston Commons, I have a favor to ask:
I would love to have help with supplying extra toys for newcomers/curious bystanders...I am happy to take the lead on the organizing portion of these nights, however, since I do come from work and don't own a car, I can't bring a whole pile of hula hoops with me. Rush hour commute on the green line just doesn't lend itself to me carrying a whole batch of hoops, unfortunately. I'm thinking even if each person just brings one extra hoop with them then we'll have enough to go around.

Wed, May 20, 2009 - 7:11 AMOkay, here goes (hope these directions aren't too confusing!):
We have a spot on the Commons on Charles Street S - the road that divides the public gardens and the commons. We are closer to the Beacon Street end, but the closest T stop would be Boylston on the green line (about a 5 minute walk).
Chad I'm not sure if you're on Facebook but the group Boston Hoop Meetup has a map posted. I will work on posting that map here as well, but probably not before tonight.

Tue, July 28, 2009 - 4:18 PMso do you guys still spin on wednesdays? because a friend of mine who goes to school in boston recently visited me and i helped her make a giant collapsible hoop (she was flying back) and she mentioned that she was going to practice at the boston commons. she also mentioned that she prolly was going to be wanting a different hoop too, and i told her there were plenty of hoopers in boston that may sell hoops and at the very least will hoop with her.
so that's how i ended up here! getting some info to pass on to her!
