I am an amateur/hobbyist botonist and would like to find a casual fun group of people to go check out the carrizo plain this spring. does anyone have any tips on best time to go, good camping spots, or groups of people that might be going?

Sat, February 25, 2006 - 4:50 PMI live in San Luis Obispo county, and March or April are usually the best months, depending on rain fall and winter temperatures. Some years are better then others. You can see the whole area in one day and I don't think there is much camping. There is some pretty nice camping along the coast.
