i ran 5 k today, and i only burned 349 calories. i feel jipped ( how in the H-E -double hockey sticks do you spell that?!), like maybe somehow you could have a calorie slot machine, or you could get a token as you enter the gym, and you play the treadmill lottery how long you are going to be on and how fast you are forced to go... it would be interesting to say the least. ... maybe this is the next japanese game show. 'cause all their game shows seem a little *off* to me...like watching benny hill while altered.... or absolutely fabulous sober...I do have a special place in my heart for the bizarre and unexpected.k

Re: musings on a treadmill..
Thu, June 26, 2008 - 2:38 AMIt's spelled "gypped" oddly enough. All the dictionaries are saying it's prolly stemmed from the word "gypsy."
And to be honest, I've always had a problem watching Benny Hill sober ever since seeing the show on Comedy Central after Kids in the Hall and before Flying Circus. Or is it the other way around? Hmm....

Thu, June 26, 2008 - 5:36 PMBrandon needs to get you out on the bike. It felt like 100 degrees out today. I went only 30 miles but I was sopping wet. It was disgusting but it felt good and probably burned a bunch of calories. I looked for you on the balcony Saturday but I saw Brandon had not left for work yet so you were probably still all cozy. -

Re: musings on a treadmill..
Sat, June 28, 2008 - 6:50 PMI would bike or excercize regularly- but somehow... i just don't think i have any musles left after my new job to even try. Today though- doing poo / hay runs up and down a steep incline with a heavy loaded pitchfork was better than any tread mill ever. I did that for about an hour. I then cleaned 2 giant stalls and the track (which is a lot of up & down and running back and forth for about another 2-3 hours.
i wish i could wear something that would count my calories. zay gave me a pedometer but it doesn't work.
Something i wonder- why is it that if i eat a hamburger that only weighs less than a lb. that i gain like 5 lbs?! and a little piece of cheese cake only weighing a fraction- puts 5 lbs + on my hips?! where are those magic extra lbs comming from?!
