      okay, me first...

i'm managing the project after having submitted an art grant proposal to bring this fleet of rickshaws to the playa. this project expands from a unique art recycling convergence for me last year, and positive, collaborative interactions with many of the people in this tribe.

i've lived in sf for 9+ years and this will be my 8th burning man :)

Ok, fine. I am Deidre Howell, brought to this group by Jay, who I met at Burning Man in 1996, my first Burning Man. This will be my sixth year and I have not met anyone else in this tribe in person, unless I do not know.

I work for UCSF in IT/Administration and love it.

Thank you Jay, for all you do and all you are.

I am Dragisa. I come from small town called Entropia, in Oblivistan.

Every mornig we would pull rickshaws full of vegetables and goat cheese to the market for sale. It was very hard work. When I heard we can use bicycles to pull rickshaws, I decided to come to America and see for my own eyes.

I can't wait to tell our folks about all this.

    Okay, me next I guess.

I'm CTP, arts engineer and gadfly. Kinetic sculptor. Member of the Crucible faculty. Occasional guest artist/lecturer at the Exploratorium, as well as other places. Co-founder of the monthly gizmologist dinner in Berkeley. Bicycle engineer and builder. Founder of Borrachos Y Bicicletas 3:00 Plaza Bike Repair at burning man, celebrating our 6th anniversary this year. I'm helping on about a half dozen playa-bound projects this year, including the rickshaw fleet, the disgusting spectacle, dance dance immolation, some sort of fire curtain thing, etc.

I dunno...there's a whole ton more but I don't need to bore you with it all...there's better things you could be doing with your time :)

      Hi everyone
My name is Libby and I am the contact Penguin with the Lost Penguin camp. And that's about it really, although I would like to extend an invitation to all rickshaw peeps and everyone they know and... well everyone really to come by the Lost Penguin Cafe for wine, chocolate and hospitality. I'll be acting as Entertainment Penguin too this year, as well Hospitality oberfuhrer so I might be a tad distracted, however don't let that deter you -- we have couches and fans and friendliness for all, and especially for all rickshaw driving types. As for us, the Penguins are champing at the bit to waddle in front of the rickshaw -- have you ever SEEN a penguin champing at the bit? It's a funny sight.

Hi my name is Peter, Peter Rabbit. THis will be my first burningman, i tried to make two years ago, but my resolve to go wasn't as strong as a car breaking down in wyomming. Not so this year, hell or high water or even car difficulties will not keep me fromt he playa!!! I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can. I am so stoked.

    Peace

    Peter Rabbit

Hi Just got to the Tribe web site today. I am a virgin burner and was gifted a Pedi-Cab with a praying mantis on top of it. Very cool. I would like to meet others at BRC. I made note of the invitation by the Lost Penquins. Do you know where else I might be welcomed with open arms and a cold beer? Look for me at BRC and say Howdy. You wont miss the MANTIS. Playa Name Chicken Bone. Sorry I dont know how to post a picture if I had one.
