I suggest finding something to put over the sand maybe plywood or something smooth.
If you can pull it off, i will suggest an event for Playa del Fuego over here on the east coast. My wife and I went this year and it was great. I think we could get some girls from her team (Penn Jersey SheDevils), Delaware, NJ Derby Dames, Virginia and maybe some other east coast teams.
If we could only find something cheap, solid and smooth and big enough to put over a section of grass. And also portable. It would go great with people spinning fire in the middle. wow.

06/24I skated at BRC Roller Disco last year, it was nice, I brought my crappy old skates. :) There's even a tiny bit of bank to BRCRD's track, which was nice for me, plus, it was right around the corner from my camp.
Maybe you could talk to the Xanadu or BRCRD folks beforehand and arrange things ahead of time, even get it into the program?
Anyway, I'll be there this year and would love to skate with you. There was a rollergirl meetup at BRCRD on Tuesday night, but I arrived Tuesday afternoon and TOTALLY SPACED on getting to the meetup until Wednesday morning. D'oh.
