in memory of Anayi aka Hannelli Francis
Fri, February 23, 2007 - 6:16 PM
i received news this morning that a very dear friend of mine passed away last night. this couragous woman, a phenomenal yoga instructor with a boundless spirit, has been dancing with a brain tumor for several years. my daughter and i were able to visit her two days after her most recent surgery. she was sooo full of light and happiness and joy. her voice was filled with such lightness and peace, it was amazing. actually, i have never seen her so happy! and so i hold her memory in that light. i love you anayi. and i will miss you dearly!

"I don't want to be a saint.
I want to be a Lover of life,
of this glorious Earth
of all.
I love!
I want to be a conduit of love, life, breath, beauty.
This world is so full of finery -
I am a devout admirer of beauty in its glorious diversity.
I offer so much gratitude for the gift of this reality!"
~ Hanneli, 20 minutes before her second brain surgery
"In the end, love is the only medicine that can heal
the wounds of the world. In the universe, it is love
that binds everything together. Love is the very
foundation, beauty, and fulfillment of life.
If we dive deep enough into ourselves, we will find
that the one thread of universal love ties all beings
together. As this awareness dawns within us,
all disharmony will cease.
Abiding peace alone will reign."

I never met you yet we shared parts of our lives.
Yoga Costa Rica
you went more deeply into both and yet lived half as long as I have
I went into the public schools
your sweet memory .. I didn't get to your retreat that time and now I must go forth and find my own retreat this time.
Blessed Be for your sweet nature and smile
