All right. First off lets just say that as a whole we as humans generally look to others (clergy) to be responsisble for our spiritual growth. Now I know that there are alot of us that do take our spiritual growth very seriously, but we are the oddballs. Humans often blame everyone and everything else, including Spirit, for their bad behavior. This is not going to be acceptable in the new age that is now upon us. The time has come for us to step up and out, and be the leaders that we can be, have waited all our lives to be, and, whether we think we are capable or not, need to be. As we begin to show the world how we take responsibility for our own spiritual growth, others will see us and, with any luck, theye might begin to do the same. Now, how do we do this? We begin by truly loving our neighbors, not just the ones that think like us. This may be one of the hardest things to do. We have been living in a world that encourages elitism, nationalism, racism, sexism, and just about any other "ism" you can think of,for so long that we don't really know how to break down these walls. We haven't been taught how to break them down. So, it is time to learn how. What we don't want to do is create more of it by "attacking" it head on, but rather start encouraging the opposite. Such as instead of protesting war. DEMONSTRATE PEACE!!! This will cause more of a stir than any protest. A protest by it's very nature is against something, a demonstration is neither for or against anything. To be against something gives power to it. To be for something empowers it. What do you wish to empower? A world of love, honesty, and peace? or a world that fights against itself? Love and Light, Grant

....and oh. my. God. that place is beautiful...

There wasn't one thing I didn't love about it. EsPECially loved my hike up the Gorge trail, around through the Emerald Forest and down the Spotted Owl trail. It was raining and I was on my own in the middle of that vast forest -- what a blissful experience.

Also spent a lot of time meditating on the bench that sits on the bridge to community. That ended up being my favorite spot.

If anyone's ever considered it, I cannot recommend doing Service Week enough. (I think they happen in January, May and September.) The dynamic of working in service with others in that setting is amazing and it was wonderful getting to know the community members on a working level. I met some of the most beautiful people this week!

I'll be back for sure... :)

C'mon, for those of you who can describe the facilities so well, I'd hope for more photos!
I've been there just once, lured out a year ago for one of the traditional sweat lodge ceremonies. Quite a powerful experience, and I suggest anyone interested should go for it!
You can get the dates for the monthly sweat lodge ceremonies at the Breitenbush website in the 'events' category.
I know that this month is scheduled for the 9th, and I think March is the 16th.

If you find me out there you should check out the amazing patterns in the ripples created by the Tibetan bowls floating in the pools.

Pierre, check in with me please!
