for screenshots, or to install it for yourself, go to the addons page addons.mozilla.org/firefox/extensions and enter the name of the extension (as seen above).
One thing to do is not to restart your browser after each install of an addon, just download a number of the above or other ones you find, then restart (which is just a click in the addon box) to enable all of them at once.

So I upgraded (a while back) to v2.0 - which disabled:
    • Answers

But since I last posted I've also added a few more extensions:

    • ChromaTabs
Colors browser tabs based on contents."
    • CookieSwap
Tool to save and swap out a collection of cookies on the fly"
    • CuteMenus2
Iconifies your menus and popups with XP skin
    • Long Titles
            Prevents tooltips from being cropped
    • Minimize To Tray Enhancer
Adds extra things to Minimize To Tray
    • MR Tech Disable XPI Install Delay
Disables default delay when installing extensions.
    • Screen grab!
Saves a web-page as an image.
    • Skype extension for Firefox
            Skype extension for Firefox
    • Tab Effect
            Tab Effect
    • URL Link
            Allow navigation to broken/unlinked URLs
    • YouTube IT
Busca o texto selecionado no YouTube (search for selected text on YouTube)

If you are going to add a few extensions and don't like the 4 second delay install the "Disable XPI Install Delay" first - it speeds things up considerably.

What I want is a package installer of sorts. I have a list of about ten extensions I add in to every installation of Firefox and it would be nice if I could do it all with one click (rather than visiting ten different websites and installing them all separately).

If you've got some spare time, btd, I suggest you build this!

So what 10 extensions are yours?

I think I probably have installed too many, and probably should trim down the junky/unnecessary ones!
I'm interested to know if you have some good ones I don't?
Tell me, this inquisitive minds would like to know!

Just as I finished typing out this message yesterday Tribe crashed. Fortunately I was able to save it and can present it now.

To keep things organized, I create a Bookmark folder called "Fav Add-Ons" containing links to those add-ons I frequently want installed (I won't necessarily install all of them all the time, it depends on the computer I'm working on). Some of these are likely duplicates of yours, of course. "Great minds" and all.

          www.foxmarks.com/
Formarks - bookmark synchronizer. I always start with this one, then I can download my entire bookmarks file which includes links to these other add-ons.

          adblock.mozdev.org/
          Ad Blocker

          www.answers.com/
Alt-Click on a word to bring up it's definition from answers.com.

          blueimp.net/mozilla/Autofill%20Forms/
Auto-Fill for forms. Since I do web development I find I have to fill out any given form many, many times.

          www.downthemall.net/
Allows mass downloading of a subset of urls on the current page (say, if a website lists a bunch of MP3s I can get them all at once rather than clicking them all individually)

          twanno.mozdev.org/
Duplicate Tab - duplicate the current tab to either a new tab or a new browser instance.

          piro.sakura.ne.jp/xul/_popupalt.html.en
Popup Alt tag fix: Firefox truncates the popup display of title attributes if they are too long. This fixes that.

          javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php
Video download: simplifies downloading embedded video content from YouTube, Google Video and a few others. This Add-On frequently does not work, but it's the only one I know of.

          chrispederick.com/work/web-developer/
Provides a whole slew of tools for dissecting the current web page. Useful for web developers when something weird is happening. Lets you hack forms, CSS, tables, HTML. Not useful to the lay-person but occasionally useful to me.

Yes some are the same as me, or alternative ways to skin the cat (so to speak).

            As to:

            • Ad blocker - I could do with that, but
            a) I disable flash, so that helps
            b) I have a few bogus hostname entries to foil that - since most ads seem to come from a few site providers.
I guess I should try it out anyway.

            • Auto fill forms - I don't fill many forms out, so not needed

            • Downloading all links - maybe I'm picky about what I download :-)

            • Dup tab - yes, I should get this one

            Thank you!
