BTU, Berkeley Trailers Union

Founded some time in the 70's (?), the BTU or Berkeley Trailers Union were early East Bay based pioneers of off-road bicycle riding. With the history and origins of this infamous group as diverse as it's members.

From being a bunch of kids on BMX bikes, to a roving gang of "bike thugs", to a semi-legit cycling team, the BTU did it all!
