I will be headed back to college soon, and I want to get into permaculture studies. Are there any area schools that specialize in this?

Re: looking for permaculture school in SF
Sat, December 30, 2006 - 3:47 PMNew College (in SF, but the program I'm talking about happens mostly up in the North Bay) has a great sustainable design program.
Sonoma State, I think, has one too....
Also, the Permaculture Institute (not an "official college") and the Occidental Arts and Ecology Center have great programs.
Lastly, check out Earth Activist Training, also not an official school, but I went there and it was AMAZING. (www.earthactivisttraining.org, I think).
Best of luck!

THis tribe discussion may be helpful, it is a whold slew of schools/programs that exist, even beyond 'the city". There are many schools around the bay area, as well as a very active urban permaculture guild. -
