Does anyone have access to CAD software to make some 3d wireframe layouts?
Also any engineers on here? Can this actually be built?
Please note - if you do not see the 1st draft please check the all posts tab.

Re: CAD Software?
Tue, October 2, 2007 - 12:29 PMI have some skills in the designing and CAD department. It will take some time to put together a model of something this curvilinear. Anything can be built, just depends on the budget.
Would be nice to know if we have some source for the scrap wood like David Best did. Then the design could be created based on the material we have. -

Tue, October 2, 2007 - 12:49 PMHmm...can we ask DB if he can put in a good word for us with the toy factory people? Anyone know him?
P.S. Mark Grieve isn't going to take over? He did the 2005 & 2006 temples. -

Re: CAD Software?
Tue, October 2, 2007 - 7:14 PMI have 3d cad skills and inventor and 3d studio max and photoshop and i can design.
time is the only issue. what kind of schedule are you thinking?
i have links to the portland OR community and could get alot of help if this is going to be the temple for 2008.
I am a board member at a co-op building that has a wood shop, metal shop, video lab/computers, ceramics.
we may have access to used lumber and several people that would love the chance to build the temple for next year.
let me know if any of this sounds good and i will set things up as needed.

I can email you the vector art I made - let me know what format works best for use in the 3D CAD programs. I am using the CS3 Suite. -

Re: CAD Software?
Tue, October 2, 2007 - 9:58 PMI have had some contact with BMORG about the temple. I think if we continue along these lines and offer up some viable plans - the access to the toy store may avail itself to us... If not then fund raising is something worht looking into. -
