schedule for next 4 weeks

okay ladies, we're ramping up for the show in less than 4 weeks now, woo hoo!
last week's meeting was fantastic! everyone on time, it was short, sweet and productive. Yay!

so this week, Wed. Jan. 17 8pm
Opening number "Comes Love"

week 2, Wed. Jan.24 7pm
closing finale number

week 3, Wed. Jan. 31 7pm
opening + finale

week 4 Wed. Feb. 7 7pm
run show (with costumes & props where possible)

Sat. Feb. 10 1pm- Decorating Royal, setting up change room
5pm (?) Sound check
10:30 Showtime!!!

There will be hopefully 2 rehearsals previous with the band that are yet to be scheduled.
All other needed rehearsals for solos and duos are up to those involved.
Let's not leave finishing costumes or choreography to the last week!! If you need help, ask around.
This is going to be an amazing show, i know it!!!

changing the name (again)

just so peeps know, I've changed the name of the tribe to Nelson Burlesque
because we just found out that "Bombshell Burlesque" is a used and copyrighted name of a troupe in the states.
The leader has apprently already sued 2 other troupes that started up using that name unaware like we were.
So to avoid any of that hassle, we are changing out name (again).
Trying Cherry Bomb Burlesque on for size, not 100% decided.

WHAT A SHOW!

What a polished and entertaining show ladies!!
I really enjoyed seeing it in the Royal - much more intimate
and interactive than the Capital.
The sets were tight (heehee), a nice length and I loved that
the second set was naughtier because I was tired! lol
Scarlet, thank you for your New York story and for getting all the
"Fat Bottomed Girls" to jump on stage and shake it! I wanted so
to jump up there with you all but I am too darn shy. I was with you
in spirit.
The music selection was great! I've never heard these songs and they
were intricate which showed off your amazing voices. Laurel, Sarah,
Scarlet and Flora, all so different and so talented!
Tamara, you are so cute when you are shy! And you look HOT in a suit!
I think I have a huge crush on Malcolm! LMAO. Yeowwwww!
Jenna, OMGAWD!!!! Mistress Martini Mayhem. You are a natural Jenna!
You are cute, funny and SEXY!!!!!! I am so proud of you!
I wish I could be your groupie and tour around with you BOMBSHELLS
this summer.

It will be Flora, Scarlet, Myself and brand new to our troupe.... the amazing, the beautiful, the outstanding, the temptress herself.... JENNA!!!!! Final week before Cabaret

First of all,
thank you everyone for a good dress rehearsal today.
I greatly appreciate everyone's effort and energy
in bringing this show to life.

A few notes:
- I can't give everyone a comp ticket for a friend/lover.
We have 25 people performing and modelling,
so tell your friend/lovers to get advance tix at the Royal!

- the changing room space is going to be very cramped.
Please be very organized with your costumes/props.
Actual bags or cases are better than plastic shopping bags.

- I want everyone to be familiar with the line-up of acts.
Know what performer and number you follow.

- We are in our final week to promote the show!
Hype it up!

How do people feel about another rehearsal for the dance numbers,
do we need to go over it again, maybe Thursday night?

Hello! Thanks to everyone who made the performers meeting last night.
Sorry for all the moving around at first.

Thought I'd post the rehearsal schedule.

Thursday Jan. 19 9pm @ Shanti Yoga studio. >All That Jazz + Anything Goes
Thursday Jan. 26 9pm @ Shanti Yoga Studio. >review + finale number
Sunday Feb. 5 2pm location unconfirmed >Dress Rehearsal

There will be one other rehearsal for the singers with the band, as yet to be confirmed with everyone.

I will be available until January 19 when I fly to Utah to work at the Sundance Film Festival. From Jan. 29-Feb. 7, I will be hanging in Seattle and Vancouver. If any Bunnies need costume pieces/accessories, please let me know and I will pick stuff up for ya while I am in the city.

for a cabaret burlesque evening of entertainment.
I will be directing this one,
and am putting a call out for acts.

Our next Bunnies show is Saturday August 6th.
We open for Nelson's electro-funk band SUPERFLY.

These daring darlings of Burlesque will be entertaining with a 45 minute show,
featuring group dance numbers, a cowgirl duo with Rosie Rawhide and Ra Ra Randy Buns, tap dance, a special appearance by Snake Woman, and solo strip teases by Holly Hipnotits and Lola Lace-up.

Show starts at 10 pm sharp. Not to be missed!
