Heyas,
I'm looking for recommendations on the best goggles for dust that don't steam up excessively or are too uncomfortable. I've used the popular brazing/cutting goggles that are highly sealed and look like big bug-eyed sunglasses (they also come in clear safety glasses configuration), which I found were way too steamy despite the manufacturer's claim about venting.
I see people using ski goggles and a few other types. Anyone have any tips on whether something else might be better?

Re: best goggles?
Tue, August 18, 2009 - 10:33 AMthe best goggles are the ones you find thrift shopping!
get several pairs for way less that new ones.
like $3.00 at goodwill for a pair slightly used, that would normally sell for $45 or more new.
ski googles usually have a foam gasket that fits against your face and does a good job sealing out dust & dirt.
most are vented to keep from steaming up.
good luck, have great burn!

Tue, August 18, 2009 - 4:03 PMSki goggles for sure.
Next best thing is the kind you get at the hardware store - they are around $3 or so. You can tart 'em up real purty. Here are some that I did a few years ago - the link is to one pic but you can surf around my pics for more...

And they will also fit over most glasses too, which is why I used them.
