I know that this has been asked and answered before, but my mind and search are drawing a blank.
Last year my zipper got encrusted with dust and eventually stopped closing at all.
I have cleaned it pretty thoroughly and it seems to be ok now. Is there any way to stop or at least slow the encroachment of dust into the teeth of the zipper?

Sun, August 23, 2009 - 5:06 AMI swear by silicon spray. Buy a can at Home Depot or any hardware store. Great for tents, boot zippers and stuck clutches on art cars!

Re: Zipper help
Tue, August 25, 2009 - 7:23 AMOil based products are notorious for breaking down nylon and other plastics so I'd definately avoid using them on your tent.

Re: Zipper help
Wed, August 26, 2009 - 11:05 AMI always use soap on BOTH sides of the zipper.
If you have two of those hotel bars that are real thin, hold them together on both sides of the zipper and slide them along the zipper.
