hi all...
Sunshine and I are making up a map of the city to gift out to all.... street. compass, general wind, sun arch.... we would like to add porto pottie locations
any idea of the locations this year...?
if i remember correctly -- generally on the 30's not the o'clocks... any idea on the x streets.... aprox is ok of link to a map would be great...

- if you pee your pants using the map to find the potties... well.... you pee'd your pants then ;-)

My first burn was in 2000. We were hanging out at Center Camp late Friday night (probably trying to get out of the damn RAIN) and he went off to find a potty. It was about 45 min to an hour before he came back (I figured standard distraction) but it turns out he was searching for the damn blue rooms. He ended up at the ones out by Man. When he returned he had a horrified look on his face. He said he had "raise up to tilt his poo out" because the poo pirimid was so close to the rim. YIPES!
Wear your headlamp at ALL dark times folks!
*note - I have not seen it that bad since that year but that year was BAAAAD. -

2000 was the year the jots ppl went on strike because a couple of their pumps broke
because of trash in the portos.
ALL the portos were full up to or over the rims.
I remember having to hover really high and at an odd angel to not miss the hole...er pile of shit.
Thankfully it's been a lot better since then!
Remember: DON"T PUT TRASH IN THE PORTOS!!!

The blue rooms are generally located between Chaos and DNA as well as between Hominid and Inherit on every radial street - so they should be fairly easy to find if/ when you are in need. The front banks are pushed back a block at 3:00 & 9:00 and are not on 6:00 at all (back banks are where you expect them to be with no exceptions). There are a few "bonus" banks in open playa on either side of the Man, between the Man and the Temple and at 10:00 & 2:00. The Porta's that are in open playa will again have blinking beacons to make them easier to find at night. -
