I had this stroke of genius, (I hope) about using a Resin Garden Shed on the Playa. I'm sick of dusty tents. I figure this is a good spending alternative to a trailer. Any thoughts?

Sun, November 18, 2007 - 1:29 PMInteresting idea! Make sure you put something over the top and stake it down so's you don't wind up looking at the stars all of a sudden! Remember the old Holmes and Watson joke? :-)

Sun, November 18, 2007 - 3:04 PMThe porta-potty's are basically the same kind of structure ....
Solid plastic walls + winds = need for stronger, more secure staking down. Tents can flex against the wind.. porto's not so much.
Plastic parts that bolt / snap together will not seal tightly against the wind / dust. There's always dust in the porto's.
Ever notice how hot and stuffy the porto's can be in the afternoon...? Even with vents at the top - they get hot. Oh.. and that's another place the dust gets in.
