Wed, January 24, 2007 - 1:36 AMthe treasury dept of your local govt might auction off vehicles. when i lived in PA i used to go to the NJ auction to snag vehicles. i got some fairly decent rides for less than 200 bucks. the trucks/vans tend to sell for a lil more. you could also try craigslist, your local paper, and auto trader. i have a truck i'm selling but i'm in FL so it does you no good. -

Wed, January 24, 2007 - 12:08 PMIf you belong to AAA they have mechanics on hand who can do a once over on vehicle you want to buy (in case you are not a super mechanic....)
i helped purchase a van for 600 in SF to take to BM, on way to event it died once, it died in Gerlach once....and all i can say, is becareful about what you buy and if it is at all fragile take your own mechanic, it saved my sanity!

Sat, April 26, 2008 - 5:37 PMFreezing Man exhibits that a minimal mutation can be overcome with an extraordinary community contribution. Few vehicles are able to pull it off and copy cats should be forewarned that it takes far more than a few treats and more like tens of thousands to be approved by the DMV. Hottie consensus is that gift givers have no problem raising a crowd in a static location or camp.

Exceptional mutant vehicles defy replication and have few venues for display outside the playa, with many representing originality in singular form and function.
