Wedding officiant in SF area?

Hello!

I hope I can ask this question here, and its not out of line.
My man and I are getting married very soon on Mt. Tam. His brother was supposed to be able to make it legal, but it looks like that is falling through. Everyone else I've found that can do a secular, existitential, or atheistic buddhist wedding wants to charge a small fortune. I'm thinking I don't want to pay upwards of $300 just for a person to stand there for 10-15 minutes, saying extremely little, just so it can be legal.

I'm really not looking for someone to "preside" or "officiate", per se. We're looking for someone to stand with us for 10 or 15 minutes in our alternative and atheistic ceremony, witness our words to each other, then, with just a few words, offically marry us.

Does anyone know anyone who could legally marry us in Marin county? We can pay a reasonable fee. Time's running out, and we're getting nervous!

Many thanks!

    Hi Mina!

I'm Armadillo, the Burning Man Wedding Coordinator!

My friend, Gibson Pearl, is a volunteer Burning Man officiant who legaly marries folks on the Playa. She lives in the Bay Area. Try sending her a PM. Here's her profile: people.tribe.net/gibsonpearl

I have another officiant who lives in Santa Cruz. E-mail me at weddings@burningman if you need another name.

    Congratualtions and cheers!
